# Selfie Verification

This challenge marks the stage where I personally give up on any infantry accounts that receive it. To traverse this checkpoint, you will need to upload a selfie of yourself holding a piece of paper displaying whatever code they told you to write down. It’s a massive pain in the ass and not really the sort of data you want to be giving to Instagram unless you’re dealing with King accounts that you cannot afford to lose (Revisit the Strategies Chapter’s [Introduction](/chapter-3-botting-strategies/introduction-and-terminology.md) for a refresher).

Successfully resolving this checkpoint will oftentimes lead directly to a 24 hour review and it’s not a fact that the account will even be recovered then. Unless it is absolutely pertinent to you that the account that received this checkpoint remains operational, I honestly would not even bother with this one.

**Severity Level: 7/10**
